I have an affinity for color-field paintings. Here, I extend the concept beyond homogenous hues to include variegated patterns as well; a kind of commingling.

Growing up on the plains, I was surrounded by vast spaces with miles of grasses blending in all directions, in my mind, rather like these pieces.
